To customize your Pixel phone, move your apps around the home screen.
Find apps
From your home screen, swipe up from anywhere above the search bar. You’ll find all your apps listed in alphabetical order.
Move apps
To move an app, touch and hold the app icon. Drag it to your preferred location.
Group apps
To group apps, touch and hold an app. Then, drag it on top of another app. This creates a folder with the group of apps.
Tip: To name the folder, tap the folder. To make an update, tap the text at the bottom.
Delete apps
To remove an app, touch and hold the app icon. Then, drag it up the screen to Remove or Uninstall.
Tip: When you remove an app, it’s only removed from the home screen. To delete an app from your phone, drag the app to Uninstall and let it go.
Add widgets to your home screen
You can add apps and useful features to your home screen for quick access.
- Touch and hold any blank space on your home screen.
- Tap Widgets.
- To explore which widgets are available, next to an app, tap the down arrow.
You can search for an app or a specific widget to add.
When you’ve chosen your widget, touch and hold it. Then, drag it to where you want it on your home screen.
Some widgets can also be resized. To bring up the white borders, long press the widget. To increase or decrease the size of the widget, drag the borders.
